Sparky started tattooing in 1995 under the tutelage of Urge’s founder, the “fantastic Johnny Faulds”. Early in his career, Sparky traveled and tattooed with many amazing artists, attending and tattooing at several conventions in Canada and the USA.

Though he has always considering Urge and Vancouver Island his home, Sparky went on to tattoo in Vancouver and Penticton, he worked as a guessed artist at VooDoo Tattoo in Barcelona Spain, Triangle Tattoo in Fort Bragg, California, Metamorphosis Tattoo in Winnipeg and at Urge2, a sister-shop in Edmonton.

Sparky took ownership of Urge Victoria in 2003 and since that time he has focused on building upon the Fantastic Johnny Faulds’ traditions of industry-leading safety practices and world class art in a safe and friendly environment, with like minded responsible tattooists.

Our shop rate is $200/hour with a minimum charge of $100. You can find a bit more information about what to expect on our Service page. Your tattoo may require a deposit to hold your space on the schedule. Urge is among the busiest shops in town, a testament to our more than 10 consecutive Best Tattoo Shop in Victoria awards.
